The Law Tutoring People to Christ
Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by
faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. (Gal_3:24-25)
The ultimate ability of the law of God is its capacity to tutor people to Christ. "The
law was our tutor to bring us to Christ." It is the plan of God to use His law to
inform us about our great need for Jesus Christ. Remember the summaries of the
law of God: "be holy, be loving, be perfect."
The law demands that we be holy. We are convicted that we are not holy. Thereby
, the law is saying to us: "You need Jesus Christ." The law requires that we be
loving. We realize that we are not loving. Thereby, the law is declaring to us: "You
need Jesus Christ." The law insists that we be perfect. We know that we are not
perfect. Thereby, the law is announcing to us: "You need Jesus Christ." In this
process the law functions as tutor (schoolmaster or child-trainer) instructing
people of their need for that which only Christ can provide through His grace.
Now that we have responded to the law's tutoring work, we are no longer under
the tutor. Now that we have placed our faith in Jesus Christ, we are no longer
under the law. "But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor."
Whereas we once were told by the law to be holy, now we look to Christ for all
personal holiness. "But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us . . .
righteousness and sanctification" (1Co_1:30).
Whereas we once were told by the law to be loving, now we look to the Spirit of
Christ for all the love that our lives are to show forth. "But the fruit of the Spirit is
love" (Gal_5:22).
Whereas we once were told by the law to be perfect, now we look to the Lord for
all of the perfecting process. "Being confident of this very thing, that He who has
begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Phi_1:6).
Joh 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free (ἐλευθερόω = el-yoo-ther-o'-o),1659, ye shall be free (ἐλεύθερος = el-yoo'-ther-os) 1658 indeed.
el-yoo-ther-o'-o:
to liberate/ set at liberty
1. Freedom from restraint, in general sense, and applicable to the body, will or mind.
The body is at liberty when not confined, the will or mind is at liberty when not checked
or controlled. a Man enjoys liberty when no physical force operates to restrain his
actions or volitions (volition is the actual exercise of the power which the has of
considering of forbearing to consider an idea). [Meaning you are free from satan, sin,
evil, destruction and curses, applicable to your body (think about disease and pain),
will and mind. No physical force (demon oppression or possession) can harm you.
They cant even control your mind or tell you what to do.]
2. Liberty, in metaphysics, as opposed to necessity, is the power of an agent to do or
forbear any particular action, according to the determination or thought of the mind, by
which either is preferred to the other. [Meaning: There is such a thing as mindpower,
as you think, so it will be. So always think positive! Stay determined to hold on! Faith
is powerful! Willpower is powerful! Think about this one.]
3. Freedom of the will; exemption from compulsion (The act of driving or urging by
force, physical or moral; force applied; constraint of the will; the application of a force
that is irresistible) or restraint in willing or volition. [God gave you a free will. Either
you will or you wont, the decision is yours. Satan does not control your will. The
forces of darkness do not drive you anymore.]
4. To free; to release from restraint or bondage; to set at liberty; as, to liberate one
from duress or imprisonment; to liberate the mind from the shackles of prejudice. [You
are totally free from the bondage of the devil, sin and all evil. You are not imprisoned
anymore, no longer a slave to sin or the devil.]
5. To manumit; as, to liberate a slave.

el-yoo'-ther-os:
freeborn/Unrestrained
1. Born free; not in vassalage; inheriting liberty. [You
are born free the moment you are born again. You
inherited all God's promises and belongings the
moment you were born again/excepted Jesus Christ as
your savior.
2. Not restrained; not controlled; not confined; not
hindered.
3. Licentious (using license [God gave you a license to enjoy all his promises];
induldging freedom to excess; unrestrained by law or morality; dissolute; as a
licentious man); loose. [Loose from ALL evil].
4. Not limited; as an unrestrained power; unrestrained truth. [God's provision,
promises, grace, love, power etc. etc. etc is unlimited!! Its an unrestrained truth, why
wont we believe it then? Your faith, willpower and determination will let all these
blessings come into filfullment!

Wat Godskinders MOET WEET!!
Tit 3:8-11
ondankbaar is, onheilig, sonder liefde vir God of hul naaste, onversoenlik, want hul wil
Hy wys andere in SAGMOEDIGHEID tereg

is. ONTREK JOU VAN HIERDIE MENSE. Hul maak asof die
godsaligheid winsgewend is. Maar godsaligheid saam met
vergenoegdheid is 'n groot wins. Wees eerder vergenoeg
EREGTIGHEID, godsaligheid, geloof, liefde, LYDSAAMHEID, SAGMOEDIGHEID.
1 Tim 3:11
- Vroue van God moet waardig wees, geen kwaadspreeksters (KJV: not false accusers)
nie, nugter en betroubaar in alles.
1 Tim 2:9
andere is.
Bewys HULLE IN LIEFDE
Dis slegte gewoontes. Vermaan eerder mekaar want die tyd is naby.
1 Thes 4:6-9
- Moenie jou broeder in enige opsigte bedrieg, benadeel of beheer nie (KJV: to gain or
take advantage of another). Die Here is 'n wreker oor hierdie dinge.
1 Thes 2:3-4

1 Kor 1:17-19
*woedebuie *boosheid *lastering teen andere *verkeerde taalgebruik
1 Tim 4:12
- Wees 'n voorbeeld vir ander CHRISTENE in:
* wat jy spreek
* wat jy doen
* hoe jy leef
* in liefde
* in gees om vrug te dra
* in GELOOF wat vasstaan selfs in swaar tye
* in reinheid van lippe/dade
Kol 1:10,11

1John3 vs Psalm 91
1John3:2
we know that, when He shall appear, (manifest himself) we shall be like
(resembling/similiar to) Him; for we shall see (to gaze with amazement) Him as He is.
We know that when Jesus shall manifest himself through us(by Holy Spirit), we shall resemble Him; for we shall gaze at Him with amazement for who He is.
1John3:3
And every man that hath this hope in Him purifieth himself, even as He is pure.
And every man that has this hope/FAITH in Him, purifies himself, even as Jesus is pure
1John3:4
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression
of the law.
Whosoever commits sin violates the law: for sin is the violation of the law
1John3:5
And ye know that He was manifested to take away (to take upon one’s self and carry
what has been raised up, to bear) our sins; and in Him is no sin.
And you know that Jesus was manifested to raise up and take our sins upon Himself and bore it on the cross, and in Him isno sin
1John3:6
(-Psm 91:1-) Whosoever abideth (remain/dwell) in Him sinneth (miss/wander of the
right path) not: whosoever sinneth (miss/wander of the right path) hath not seen (to
see, i.e. become acquainted with by experience, to experience) him, neither known (get
a knowledge of perceive, feel) him.
Whosoever abides/dwells/stay in God, does not miss or wander of the right path, whosoever miss or wander of the right path has not perceived (experienced) or felt God.
1John3:7
(-Heb5:12-14-) Little children (infants), let no man deceive (cause to go astray/lead
away from truth/right way) you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as
He is righteous.
Infants of the Word, let nobody cause you to go astray or lead you away from the truth and the right way: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as God is righteous.
1John3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this
purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy (loosen/break) the
works of the devil.
He that commits sin (unsafed sinner) is of the devil, for the devil sinned from the beginning. For this purpose Jesus was manifested, that He might loosen and break the works of the devil.
1John3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his (God's) seed (God's offspring)
remaineth (stay/abide) in him (God): and he (who is born of God) cannot, sin
(miss/wander of the right way), because he is born of God.
Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin, for God’s offspring/children remains/stays/abides in Him: and he cannot miss or wander of the right path (that is if you stay momentarily in the presence of God!!!, because he is born of God.
To enter the Holy of Holies, to enter God’s own light, to abide in Him and He in you:
means there can be no sin, no darkness, no evil, no curses, no sickness and no
destruction!!! No harm can be done to you. Why do we sin then, why do we get
harmed, why do we fall etc? because we step out of the Holy of Holies, God's presence,
even if its just for a moment. How do we stay in the Holy of Holies, God's presence:
by constantly thinking about Him, listening to His voice, seeking Him and His will,
praying and meditating on His Word. Then NO DARKNESS, NO SIN can drag you down,
or harm you in any way. But we are human, we sometimes feel too tired to pray or
read the Word, or go to church, we get so busy that we forget to think about God. We
have limited time, so we do not want to wait on the Lord's answer and do what we
think is best, we feel too weak to stand fast and then give into temptations. So many
things prevent us from constantly staying in God's Holy of Holies.
Psalms 91
We may assign this Psalm to the last-named writer; and, if so,
this is another Psalm of Moses, the man of God. Many
expressions here used are similar to those of Moses in
Deuteronomy, and the internal evidence, from the peculiar idioms, would point towards
him as the composer.
Psalm 91:1
He that dwelleth (sits down) in the secret place of the most High shall abide
(stay/remain) under the shadow (defence) of the Almighty.
He that sits down in the secret hiding place/ Holy of Holies of God, shall stay and
remain under the defence and protection of God
The secret dwelling-place = Holy of holies. There is the dweller in the dark world, in the
favoured land, in the holy city, in the outer court; but the holy of holies is the “secret
place” - communion, acceptance, protection etc.
Every child of God looks towards the inner sanctuary and the mercy-seat, yet all do not
dwell in the most holy place; they run to it at times, and enjoy occasional approaches,
but they do not habitually reside in the mysterious presence. Those who through rich
grace obtain unusual and continuous communion with God, so as to abide in Christ and
Christ in them, become possessors of rare and special benefits.
Into the secret place only those who know the love of God in Christ Jesus come, and
those only dwell there to whom to live is Christ. To them the veil is rent, the mercy-seat
is revealed, the covering cherubs (Angels) are manifest, and the glory of the Most High
is apparent.
Outer court worshippers little know what belongs to the inner sanctuary, or surely they
would press on until the place of nearness and divine familiarity became theirs. Those
who are the Lord's constant guests shall find that he will never suffer any to be injured
within his gates; he has eaten the covenant salt with them, and is pledged for their
protection.
The Omnipotent Lord will shield all those who dwell with him in the Holy of Holies, they
shall remain under his care and the. In the most holy place the wings of the cherubim
were the most conspicuous objects, and they probably suggested to the Psalmist the
expression here employed. Those who commune with God are safe with him, no evil can
reach them, for the outstretched wings of his power and love cover them from all harm.
This protection is constant - they abide under it, and it is all-sufficient, for it is the
shadow of the Almighty, whose omnipotence will surely screen them from all attack. No
shelter can be imagined at all comparable to the protection of God’s own shadow. The
Almighty himself is where his shadow is, and hence those who dwell in his secret place
are shielded by himself. Communion with God is safety. The more closely we cling to
our Almighty Father the more confident may we be.
